A Two Week Intensive...
Larry Santoyo and Toby Hemenway join Green Phoenix Permaculture for a two-week residential permaculture design intensive that past participants have called "life-changing" and "a source of inspiration". This August, we journey to the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch located on 77 acres in New York's Catskills.
Urban or Rural Resident, Planner, Land Manager, Design Professional or Home Manager, this Course is for you! The training covers the fundamentals of ecological design that can be applied to the design of any human system. Upon completion, attendees will receive a Permaculture Design Trainee Certificate from the Permaculture Institute (U.S.A).

The Permaculture Design Course has transformed the lives and enhanced the careers of thousands of architects, landscapers, community developers, social workers, city planners, teachers, students, farmers, gardeners, homeowners, business owners and others. It's for anyone serious about creating a sustainable future! Permaculture principles apply to any scale of design, to highly urbanized areas, suburbs, and rural communities and properties.
LOCATION
The Ashram, founded in 1974 by Swami Vishnu-devananda for the practice of Yoga and the study of Vedanta (Yoga philosophy or positive thinking), will provide the backdrop to the permaculture course of yoga's quiet focus on balance in all things: learning healthy living through proper exercise, diet, breathing, relaxation, and positive thinking.
Course participants will have the opportunity, if they so choose, to partake in the Ranch's classes before and after our daily program.
FEES
- Tuition: $850.00.
- Plus $600.00 for Meals and Camping
